Overview-
Say what you will about Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, I never really took them seriously to be completely frank, that was until I saw their most recent collection for Spring 2012. There was something utterly pure and genuine about the garments. Perhaps it was the copious whites and opalescent hues. Or maybe the unfettered rectangular silhouettes, with the subtle Tibetan references, had something to do with the feel of ease in the collection. Let us not forget the the artisanal touches with the intricate beading that reminded me, in a distant way, of Riccardo Tisci's Fall 2011 Couture collection for Givenchy. Regardless, The Row is certainly a label I will be watching in the future.
