Gaga is back to her maximalist aesthetic in her latest music video/barnyard romp Yoü And I, and frankly, I couldn't be happier. The main focus of the video is Gaga trekking across the country, from New York to Nebraska, to reconnect with a lover of her past. But along the way, she is captured by an overly attractive farmer (actor/model Taylor Kinney). In an act of deranged scientific fusion, the farmer/model/mad-scientist transforms Lady Gaga into a shimmering mermaid named Yuyi. Throw in a surprise appearance of lady Gaga's male alter ego Jo Calderone, some cornfield piano playin', a malevolent ice cream man, and you've got a country-art-pop masterpiece! Not to mention the over-the-top and wondrously avant-garde fashion!
