New York Fashion Week S/S 2011 Wrap Up

I hate to do this, but I'm just going to have to wrap up the rest of New York Spring/Summer fashion week with a minimalistic overview of the designers that I wanted to review. Next season will be different though.

Anna Sui: This season marks the 20th anniversary of the Anna Sui label. To celebrate, she looked to one of her favorite films, Days of Heaven for inspiration. The look was classic Anna; beautifully romanticized bohemian frocks that showcased her love of color, prints, and unwavering femininity.

Narciso Rodriguez: Minimalism has always been a strong suit for Narciso Rodriguez. So it is no surprise that in the current fashion climate, Narciso is thriving. For Spring, Mr. Rodriguez looked to himself in the 90's as a point of inspiration; this was apparent in the ease and flow of the garments. I, personally, felt the collection was like a cool and refreshing breath, in the busy New York week of fashion.

Other Notable Collections for New York S/S 2011:

Donna Karan

Michael Kors

Oscar de la Renta

Marchesa
