This is the twenty four year-old Project Runway alum's fifth collection in New York. A designer known for his theatrical drama, Christian certainly stayed true to his glamorous aesthetic.
I feel that the collection's palate (along with his F/W 2010 line) has greatly matured from collections past. The look was a compilation of Greek jet-setter, with a touch of Spain, and a dash of African tribal women. The first sixteen looks to strut down the runway were remotely paired back (in Siriano standards); beyond that point however, Christian's exaggerated je ne sais quoi came through in a swirling oceanic gown. Christian's favored silhouettes were definitely not abandoned in his latest work; from his cinched waists, the voluminous gowns, to his notorious peplum jackets. The finale dresses were as ruffled and over-the-top as ever, with the ending piece consisting of an asymmetrical vermilion cloud of tulle with a form-fitting red and white banded bodice.
