New York Fashion Week S/S 2011: Carolina Herrera

Designer: Carolina Herrera

Inspiration/Theme: Traditional Korean attire, and what looked like dried plants (some of the flowers even appeared as if they were taped to the garments).

Color Palate: White, gray, crimson, light olive green, tangelo orange, fuchsia, beige, riffle green, and black.

Notable Pieces: The Korean men's hats, the obi belts, the super simplistic bows, and the "dried" flower appliqué (one of the flowers' labels functioned as a pocket, which I thought was particularly ingenious).

Final Thought: Beautiful and classic Carolina, with a few of her clever twists.
